Paleo Breakfast Bread Recipe
eating gluten-free doesn't mean you have to skip out on taste that is if you have the right recipe and the right cook I love this woman this is Alana Amsterdam and she is a gluten-free cookbook author you have two cookbooks out right now and we're going to be cooking something today from the Paleo diet that goes one step beyond that gluten-free and we're going to talk about that but Alana what are we going to be cooking today Joanna today we're going to make paleo breakfast bars a finished product they're delicious they're low glycemic high in protein we're starting with a bowl of almond butter high protein almond almond butter full of heart-healthy good fats adding some high protein eggs and we have to point out you actually do have a cookbook out there that's all about cooking with that almond flour I cook with almond butter what does that mean does it add more nutrition to your cook well first of all I think what's most important for any chef is that it tastes great and my husband and kids love it yeah second of all very high in protein and heart-healthy fats which I mentioned I also like to use coconut flour which is high in fiber I basically want to stay away from your traditional gluten-free flours like rice flour details our potato starch because those spike your blood sugar then leave you with that high carb hangover feeling what you really don't want to get out of Yui yeah and when you're eating a lot of the processed foods when you're doing the gluten-free diet that's really all that's out there right house so you're giving me an option yes if you hit the nail on the head those foods are highly processed I'm adding in pure vanilla and stevia which is a super low glycemic sweetener and that will just kick up the taste and flavor of the honey a little bit yeah then we're going to add in I'm cinnamon and I use an entire tablespoon of cinnamon and so good for you so good for you and that also helps with your glycemic index and stabilizes blood sugar and it also makes food a lot sweeter so I just try and spike things with cinnamon anytime I can't all that looks so yummy yeah this recipe for paleo breakfast bars is just has the perfect flavor with the cinnamon then we're going to add our salt and our baking soda okay and you keep mixing there I'm going to ask you a lot of people are probably asking themselves what is the Paleo diet it's gluten-free but as I said one step beyond so explain to us well the Paleo diet basically we haven't changed that much since Paleolithic times which is made man tais two and a half million years ago there were cavemen you and I basically have very similar genes to those cavemen however the diet that we're eating today is radically different and I believe in other people also believe that those of us who are going from Doctor to doctor with unrelenting undiagnosable health conditions who simply may not have the genes that adapt us to eat grains and greens are really new to our diets from where you were telling rates are very new the Agricultural Revolution which was one cereal grains were introduced was only ten thousand years ago we've been around 2.5 million years that's less than 1% of our existence Wow so the other thing I love about the Paleo diet and these kinds of recipes is you're not just getting rid of the grains which can be inflammatory and difficult to digest for people like myself I've been on the Paleo diet for about 11 years now you're also cutting out all those junky processed food right it's kind of fake food and you're even cutting out rice which was surprising yes I cut out rice potatoes corn beans so everything I'm eating is extremely nutritionally dense and high in protein and good fats so this is our batter and here's just another version of our batter and we're gonna put it into a pan Hey baking dish that I greased with coconut oil YUM which is a lovely oil that is very good for you and we're going to bake these and you have all of the recipes on your website yeah those up at the NS Dianna's Alana's pantry calm and you also have two great books we're gonna bring those up one of them is cupcakes free cupcake free cupcake and the other one is gluten free almond flour gluten free on the flour cookbook and you give some advice on how to find that almond flour right actually on my website Alana's pantry com I linked to all the challenging to Bacon Breakfast Muffin with Paleo Bread
hi paleo princess here with my little paleo baby he's having a hard day today so I thought I'd bring him into the video with me as opposed to hearing cry in the background so what I also wanted to show how easy it is to make this meal I can even do a while holding a baby so what I'm making today is a breakfast muffin out of these cupcake tins that I have I have a larger size cupcake tin because that just means more tasty goodness to have at your meal and all I did was lined it with some prosciutto I poured in some eggs about half way in each tin and then I sprinkled in some broccoli that I have I always like to try to sneak in broccoli whenever possible because I don't really like to eat it alone so I just drop the broccoli into each tin after you pour the egg in and then I'm going to bake it at 350 for about 15 minutes and that's it you can save these and warm em up the next day so for me I'm going to eat these for lunch and give the rest of them to my husband at breakfast tomorrow he's going to love it and then of course I like to help bread with my breakfast so i'm going to have julian bakeries almond paleo bread and for my husband maybe he'll put that on top of the bread and kind of have it like this it's really good that way too I hope you enjoy have a great day bye you .

Chorizo Sunrise - Paleo Cooking with Nick Massie
okay guys last video of the day we're fired up and we're going to finish with a breakfast so if you're looking to start your morning strong from your biceps to your thighs come right back for our sure reason sunrise fit pay the up Kelly go ahead and fire up that burner what we're going for here your Therese Oh sunrise it's going to look like a Sun when we played it okay so I got a sweet potato we're going to pull the skin off just roast this off cooled it so that it's still it's not like falling apart I'm going to cut out an angle as possible what we're done we lay these out on the plate you see how bunch of those two the quickest on so here let's get some oil in there alright so these are in all we're looking to do is kind of caramelize that bottom layer we'll flip it over to make sure they're heated through but as they're in the pan we might push them and just make sure that there's some oil between the sweet and the pan and maybe have a little pinch of salt and pepper as well beautiful look at this girl we got a spoon down there then ski and into here we're going to throw together a quick little block about here let's check these bones we go we'll turn it down now you can see it's a little dark so not too dark yeah like that I'm going to go ahead and finish flip them and then kind of roll into the oil there you go are you want to go ahead and roll that lime out for me I get a little red iron going and then how about in the morning do you track like your macros in your breakfast and use this fattier meal or it is actually my fattiest meal it's almost always a eggs egg white some gluten free toes or some oatmeal a cup of fruit and then eggs what you do there how many eggs egg white I'm one to two eggs and then three to five egg whites depending on today and depending on what I'm doing with them but and then if you want to squeeze it in here and it feeds in mine typically not okay grab little bigger suppose it and start mashing this up on this tomato here took a soma cut this on a watery Center Punto here would do that yeah I don't think that posting salt hello's in cilantro everything I'll do that's good I will step out of five now is where the are cheaper comes in so I'm just going to give this is good placement so we want the out side you see how that's the outside angle yep that makes sense looks like that now let's turn this back on the trees on there it's thrown in there yeah perfect there's plenty of fat in there right so the edge of fat renders that'll provide that we call the cooking agent and again it to be a high fat meal we cook these in olive oil side in there and then we're going to finish the walk but it's no good good okay once about halfway cooked maybe two minutes he's going to crack the eggs right into the pan and then I want you to try to make them look as scrambled as possible by the external up crazy yeah okay now let's talk about Ice Age meals awesome meals right yeah this one and this is one of them right for the most part we serve it over sweet potato or yam we'll fry it like this which roasted looks a little bit lower fat but a great way to start the day huh yeah and or my favorite breakfast meal make a pile the middle we don't want to cover up our sunrise if you can help it okay we have some of our sausage of pote lay at the recipe for that on the site we have some happen to have some on hand so we're going to use that give a little round about a little more moisture and then use the whole avocado so maybe a quarter of what's in here a little bit less it on top how's that okay guys our Torino sunrise with Kellie Jackson thanks for being here works great for meal prep or breakfast any day of the week so get out there give this one a try and as always we're here helping you keep it video .

Green Dream paleo waffles
hey everyone its Sophie from the philosophy today we're making one of our favorite paleo recipes you can really help us any time of day let's be honest but we're making green dream paleo waffles so this is the finish of version we had it for breakfast this morning absolutely incredible we're gonna have it for lunch come on we're going out for lunch 20 here up for all those i love you on your hair i know it's good it's gonna stop the protein um so Sophie I am for my company called philosophy I have a super food company which we'll talk more about I'm tuning in every Tuesday and November today is a big day election day please let me know if you voted give us a heart give us a thumbs up and say you voted and what state you're in and if you're not in the US let us know where you're tuning in from um so again the finished product is green dream waffles you will see that they are super thick they are really really yummy and they're gluten free and they taste great so this is what we're making I mean it's my kids this morning you make it probably one to two times a week it's really simple um fast easy nothing processed super clean needle um you could make this vegan by doing chia seed ads or whatever kind of egg substitute you like to use so we're going to go ahead and get started I have my waffle iron preheating so what's the benefit of perio so paleo just means grain free um also here looking at anything like whole30 it's really just about full nutrients so vegetables and fruit nuts and seeds meat or fish depending on if you're doing a vegan paleo or if you're doing a regular paleo with fish and meat and all kinds of other things but it's really all about nothing processed minimally processed the only sweetener they usually use is maple syrup or honey and yeah so it's just all about like there's no dairy unless it's actually I guess with paleo I've ever been a lot of time i'm derry he's just I think they can do some grass fed dairies that I'm not under personal that if you are paleo go ahead and chime in I think grass-fed dairy czar okay like grass-fed butter um maybe some like keepers and stuff not one hundred percent on that but it's a really clean way to eat and if you see something out there that's paleo give it a try it basically just means that they're getting really creative and instead of using grains um or wheat or gluten they're using a mix of other things like today we're going to use coconut flour which is really high in fiber I'm grateful gluten-free baking so what does that made out of I'm happy over so coconut flowers just coconut that's it if you look at the ingredients in organic coconut what's in it and then tapioca flour this is we're going to use for our flour um and there's no grain there's nothing you and there's you can look up paleo diets and see what you know all the specifics on that since I'm no expert um I am more of a plant-based eater but i do love eggs and and fish so I like things that are coolio it keeps it really clean and it doesn't make me feel too like well card from all the gluten um so what were what you need is let's get the recipe so it's five soaked too no it's fine of it five large eggs five large egg Vanna White at all yeah we got the egg so we'll just start chopping these actions to like as a blender while we're going to office play all this stuff for you we're just so you can see me and the greening dream is Sophie's product yep this is our most important ingredient knew this was important ingredient in the waffle of this agreement you can't make it without it so the green dream is 10 grams of protein per tablespoon I added to just about everything from smoothies to waffles to muffins to oatmeal there's no sugar in it so it doesn't kind of take over with that fake protein powder flavor like some other um protein powders do so you know you can make it savers we could add to a pot or a spread or a Hamas um so that's really great for green journeyman green room just ask him powder spirulina mesquite chia seeds mocha and vanilla in it and the protein sources both spirulina and hem so it's super clean if you're looking for a clean protein source um so let's go ahead an get started we'll start with M so maybe five eggs this is a super high protein waffle if you think about it hugely waffles are just carbs they're just marks and that's okay i think first thing in the morning it's nice to have carbs energy fast energy but the problems that then you crash so that's why you don't want to go for a bagel like a bagel with butter on it or cream cheese you might go for something that may be assam flocks on it or something that has protein also so these are waffles that have protein on them so we're doing five eggs again if you're vegan you could do chia eggs to be any questions any one folded what's everyone saying you're just saying hi hi how do i doing where they're from i'm having a weird day I hurt my Achilles and then now both of them are hurting so I'm hobbling around and sing a little off I was just icing them oh good did you ice last night I didn't I slap name is this morning and I don't really feel like it helps not much but elevated then I stopped for like 45 minute injuries are the worst anyone have any tips on Achilles and how to heal faster got 5 ends ok so then half a cup of almond milk ok but I feel so last time I made these they totally failed because I put way too much almond milk ok yeah I'm gonna measure for you guys ok here nine rebounds the waffle iron is right well I thought those is a fire away ok support ok um you grab the spinach ok so obviously these are the eggs this is the coconut flour if you haven't used that and baking you should and Trader Joe's has a great coconut flour um just so you know always a little more awkward of all um yeah you could get almost all this stuff at trader joes so just FYI even have coconut oil trader joes now alex says that this is getting me in the mood to eat clean today which is awesome I'm so glad yeah the cool thing is my philosophy as it were is that um you don't have to sacrifice things that step look good taste good feel good in your body just because it's healthy um so it's all about balance and enjoying the food that you're eating and also hopefully making it as clean as possible so we've got five eggs we're going to do a half a cup mr. dry ingredients first just yeah okay uh so then it's one fourth cup of coconut sugar okay i'm actually going to do syrup or honey I'm to our honey and says oh more liquidy to think about gluten um I changed it on the recipe too so the recipe you guys how I think taste me is gonna post it if not we'll do it after this thing but you kind of want more of an ad pumpkin to this recipe I'm going to do um syrup or honey instead of a coconut sugar and the reason why is because coconut flowers tend to be a little dry YUM and I don't want this to be dry i want to be really moist so we're gonna try and add as many liquid agrees so for the coconut flour we need a pork chop right yes fourth cup oh oh this is tapioca what's happy at the flower well I have okay on this one I have half a cup of coconut flour and three fourths cup of tapioca starch well that's fine why are some ways a 34 oz cup sorry yes okay three fourths cup jockey tapioca you ink and then half a cup of coconut flour half a cup of flour everyone you breakfast today I definitely do not recommend skipping breakfast most important meal today what did you have for breakfast this morning please share and did anyone vote you had nobody's someone says that I have the cocoa flour from tjs well I haven't eaten breakfast so i'm excited to eat this so with it one cup of coconut car it is half a cup of coconut flour okay yeah these gluten-free flours are pretty dense okay perfect we've got ou
r coconut flour in there okay and then a 1 tablespoon of grain dream and then we've got half a cup of almond offered um yes so we're using make sure that you get Cara go Jean free this is unsweetened why do you focus in on that caregiving free on the bottom so they know what to avoid so this is our favorite almond milk if you're not going to make it yourself which most people are not later I but yeah I mean we do once in a while it's just not really not realistic in like a busy life I have two little kids um it's a lot a lot of stuff happening it's really not that hard to make nut mouth but if you're not going to make it just make sure you get a really clean um plant-based not dairy-free mama now we're going to do the same dream which is going to add 10 grams of protein and I do a heaping tablespoon which will add 10 grams of protein lots of superfoods give you energy so the grain dream powder you can get on our website which is www.hyken.com that it's my name philosophy philosophy so the philosophy calm i'm going to add a big handful of spinach and kale you can just do spinach is a little bit cleaner some of the the kale can get a little better sometimes um so we're just adding more greens add more fiber and why not if it doesn't change the flavor and it really does you know like why not add more greens um that's my philosophy if it's gonna taste the same how much coconut I'm half a cup half a cup of coconut oil this stuff is the best Oh coconut oil who is a coconut oil pan give us some heart did you I'll pull this morning yeah you can do oh I've never done that before yeah we're just pulling a coconut oil calling this morning and it's really great for your gums and your teeth it's enough anti-bacterial and it pulls out all sorts of toxins then you today to clean your guns and your teeth and pull out toxins we know you're ready waffle maker where we got it yeah literally keep thinking that that's the high 90 oh my god um um people love coconut oil and they love khalifia farms and there's any members five philosophy super foods or any of my products I have baby Alex our lovely lovely camera operator here at this Janet she works for philosophy and she's amazing and I am getting better at this camera thing I really hot seat stability I put my thumb in front of the camera only twice and now why do you think sees all oh yeah this is so don't I explain the difference between like table salt yeah pink salt so um pink sea salt this one that is actually Himalayan um you definitely don't need to get this kind of exotic you could just get sea salt sea salt is really high in minerals and really beneficial to your system we a lot of our major neural pathways depend on sodium Rilla sodium not table salt table saw is um bad name sisters not good yeah so stick to sea salt and then there's all kinds of varieties of different types of sea salt including Peng which is delicious we love pink but do not be afraid of sea salt sea salt is imperative to our bodies and so beneficial especially if you work out it's got a lecture up electrolytes in it it's really great for you I'm gonna add a tablespoon I still dust at trader joe's too oh yeah i'm going to add a tablespoon of to two tablespoons of pumpkin because tis the season yeah like one fourth cup about what she just did yeah um did you do baking powder I haven't happen to have it out so about a tablespoon tables not normally we do baking soda and baking powder but I think we just have this is just for this for this I think we only need a competitor mmm we have been serving in French oh I don't really know that different be sloppy um what is baking soda do besides make your fridge smell good you can be surprised harms anyone know what King soda does I'm not a baker yes I ok so we bought our flowers we've got our coconut oil we got our super foods we have greens we have pumpkin do we do sweetener I have not done sweetener yet so we're going to do our honey um I'm someone else maple team hit show them that so this is pretty much the most delicious honey upper it also has lots of greens in it so it has fiber protein magnesium iron calcium it's really great for immunity um honey had raw honey has antibacterial properties so it's really good during allergy seasons this is the green dream i use it i already have it on the straw over here so i was doing a demo store yesterday look how green that is and i mean it it's still associate ur incredible so still sweetener this is great for paleo diet you're still getting creams and and you're so many greens exactly this is great for kids that are made of assistant to like the taste of greens it's straight up honey with superfoods added so the way that i created this product is just this powder pretty much dead on you don't want to overmix it no I do not look like that a beautiful like soup when I mean it soup is ok too like if it's a more liquidy that's that's okay did you see okay so here's what where did you guys come over this is the fun beautiful part so we're open up the hot hot iron careful Alex not gonna get into that I have this rage coconut oil spray oh we love trader joes so you're just gonna lightly spray and then you're going to put this amazing batter inside and I usually just do in the middle and then allow it to kind of go out the outside that's the or more um yeah Gina Justis normally make like to round yeah but oh I'm so excited for breakfast you guys come sorry we can't share I um another really good topping for these would be rococo nut butter yeah I like the classic butter and like at your own of syrup um so yeah so I mean that's basically the recipe if any questions go ahead and ask now all this is cooking a sociable minute I don't have to Paleo Resurrection Biscuits for Easter Sunday breakfast
hi this is Elizabeth Heinz from our pin little family calm and this is Kate Hines from our paleo family calm this is Luke I'm from our paleo family calm and if you watch some really old videos you've probably seen them but they have cooked with me for a while but today we have something special we don't have instant pot we are making resurrection biscuits which we made these when the kids were really little with that kind of dough that comes like in the can and a refrigerated section of the grocery store but we can't eat those anymore but some people keep asking for them so I have worked on a recipe and this kind of a strange recipe because we have this dough that we cook in the pinion and it's going to take us all working together really fast to make those and then we'll kind of tell the resurrection story through our biscuits okay are you ready to get started yep alright so the first thing we're going to do is we have to melt some things together so we're going to note our shaft which is a half a cup of palm shortening and okay so this recipe is paleo because we're using all paleo approved ingredients mm-hmm until we get to the butter there's a little step of butter and you can substitute coconut oil you can substitute more palm shortening but because these guys who are going to be eating can eat some dairy we're gonna actually use some butter for that but aside from that it's completely paleo approved recipes okay so this I'm going to turn up to about medium if it starts to go too fast we'll slow that down okay what's next we put in the palm shortening it's filtered water okay so we have a quarter of a cup actually that's a little bit more they don't some of that out hey what are you supposed to do with your measuring cup when you're in you're measuring it on the ground make sure it's level oh my goodness has a lot more than a quarter of a cup isn't it a third of a cup yeah somebody must have had their old lady eyes on when she measured okay so that's a quarter of a cup of water so we have our palm shortening in our water and then we're going to put maple syrup in there this says organic pizza sauce but it's not I get my maple syrup from Pennsylvania and gallon jugs and so I keep that out in the garage refrigerator look when you dump that in and like wipe it all out while I clean this up whoops memory should you use the spatula let me know especially where your finger either one yeah see that's gonna end up just making a mess so don't be afraid to get your fingers in there okay okay get it all out and then you can lick your finger if you're good okay so we want this to come up to a simmer look what you get out that green flap thing okay and we also have to put what's next Cecil yes we also have to put our salt in which is a half a teaspoon of sea salt so that goes in and we're done with that so if you can scoop that to the side okay you want crack the eggs you crack them into this okay so that's starting to go can you stir it Luke you're actually you know what let's do this belly is kind of whisk it together Katie's been taking a cooking class there's a camp in town that offers classes in scores and she's going to cooking class in the fall in the spring and so she's getting really good with some of her cooking skills okay so that's definitely bubbling which is good and our next step is we're going to add in this Chafee oka starch now if you follow me at all you know I mostly baked with almond flour and arrowroot but this particular kind of dough works really well with tapioca so we're going to use tapioca okay that's definitely simmering so I'm going to pour this in and all in and we we take that and we just have to kind of beat it eat it eat it eat it and mix this in you can dump it in the sink yeah we're done with it let's go ahead and turn this off and I'm going to take it off the heat and sometimes not all the liquid is absorbed at this point and it just looks like a great big mess yeah if it looks kind of yucky doesn't it we practiced this yesterday and it tastes really good but I'm swapping it all over the place it's a mess at this point but don't worry we have more to do but this is why we have to work fast because we're going to put eggs in there and the dough can't really sit for a long time and yep we don't want our eggs to scramble so Kate actually when you get a fork and just kind of beat those eggs up a little bit this is just kind of stringy and yucky but I promise it's done okay so get that in the sink okay so are you ready do you want to mix do you want to pour you have to mix superfast without slapping it around okay all right so get ready to mix it doesn't work here comes the pain I just added in two teaspoons of coconut sugar good yep keep going let's make sure we put everything in so at this point we just added a little coconut flour 1/3 of a cup we've added the two eggs let me jump in just a second and the coconut sugar and at this point it will start to come together as a job but you know I'm working with me hard it's nice and yellow because my eggs had nice yellow yolks can't you give that a stir for a minute see how tough it is I always think that there's vanilla and the recipe but there's not it's tough isn't it again you can know when I'm in swimming some cinnamon key stories during the supposed to be a full teaspoon and it was okay but this away will loop stirs yeah okay so we could work with this dough right now accepting this really hot so I wanted to all for just a minute so I'm going to take it out of this pan and I'm going to dump it onto the parchment just so I can start to cool a little bit and then we'll talk to you about the the resurrection part of it so this is how you can in a fun and young way teach your kids the Easter story with food you scrape this down here there we go we actually made a savory version of this one my sign up with garlic and onions in it and we used them as little hamburger buns they were really yummy okay okay do y'all remember the story yes you do why don't what do we say but what's the story so I'm just flattening this that's why she kind of you know the biscuit is the tomb for Jesus's body to go in and you get a the oven is the two I think no no no no it's a business can tuna and then the microwave is the three days but it doesn't go in the microwave then it goes in the oven oven I remember putting in money maybe dad I don't know he never permanently later and then you looked up marshmallow and then the marshmallows Jesus and then when you take it out of the oven the marshmallow will be on okay okay okay right right right okay that's portion are no I'm just going to with a pizza cutter because that way I can do it kind of evenly sort it evenly do a super great job I mean careful because this is really sharp I just want to kind of sort of have our our portions laid out okay so let's talk about the marshmallows you guys helped me make the marshmallows what are they made out of so our militant gelatin sugar what kind of sugar sugar maple sugar is the soft ball okay so it was a combination of maple syrup honey and there's one more you were what it was coconut sugar okay so try this sort of Betty picture okay yes the marshmallow so this is Danielle walkers from against all grain is her marshmallow recipe from her celebrations cookbook and loose right we cooked the sugars to the soft ball stage and then we had the gelatin in water and then we slowly pour it in the sugar of a hot hot sugar and it was dark brown because we have honey in coconut sugar maple syrup which are all brown and then it became this really will you grab those lip or wash my hands Jones everybody fluffy flash brown yeah yeah so we have our homemade marshmallows baby okay so okay we need another fork all right so we have eight you can make you smaller if you wanted but I think they work better a little bit bigger so I'm just gonna spray this is just all econo oil and a spray want to spray eight of these one 7:8 will pour a little bit of water in the ones we didn't use and then okay so Jesus died on the cross right and then once he was dead the ladies came who came but not his mom and they came and they would have wrapped his body in spices or was it Joseph it came joseph of arimathea came because he had the tomb right you know the women asked for the body yeah yes to embalm him which was what they did at that time okay so let me show you the trick doesn't always work but when you're working with something sticky I'm instead of like reaching your hand sometimes just some water will work to keep you from being sticky so just tap your fingers in there and then kind of Pat those out a little bit so we had eight someone that picked my eight best marshmallows so after we made the marshmallows we poured them out into a was a big half sheet pan so ours came out pretty flat either she didn't say in her instructions or I just skipped it in the instructions but I think if I made the Martian once again I would make them in like an 8 by 8 pan so they'd be nice and and high so I came out kind of flat so I cut them to try to be as square as possible let me pick eight good ones six seven eight and they're good for smacking outside my husband last night because they're sugar and gelatin and this of vital this is the vital proteins grass-fed meat gelatin gels and this you can buy a canister of it was like forty five to fifty dollars is really expensive and I knew I didn't eat a lot for this and I actually use a different kind of gelatin for or collagen for what I put in my coffee and tea and stuff but Danielle recommended this brand specifically so these are little individual serving size packets and you can use their ton in here and it was a lot cheaper to buy it this way so vital proteins beef collagen is what I used for the marshmallows okay so Jesus body what this is his body right was of the oils melted or solidified okay so Jesus body gets embalmed right in the oil which in our case is butter and then the spices which is a mixture of maple sugar coconut sugar and cinnamon you could use all maple sugar you could use all coconut sugar I don't like the flavor of coconut sugar as much which is why I used a combination of maple and I just a second please and I didn't use all maple because I ran out ok so then see some people say this is the tomb and some people say just you know they wrapped his body in cloth right so either way we're wrapping Jesus up so that this is you're saying this is the tomb yeah okay so do your best to to seal it it's very likely that your marshmallow is gonna leak out and and if it does it does it's okay but just try to steal to get your hands a little bit wet and then you put it in one of the muffin cups that you greased okay bomb some Jesus you need to do it - yeah so the kids I think like cooking right Luke is a Boy Scout he has his cooking merit badge already yeah can't your bracelet thing isgetting in there and Kate's been doing like I said this cooking class but I think they don't love getting their hands dirty just I didn't you do okay all right see I think he used to be kind of grossed out by getting anything on their hands so did you take no no no no it is it one that was greased it wasn't greased you got to make sure you put it in one that is greased and look so so no don't take any you just can smush it around okay look now he's in there now okay now look can you tell which one is greased okay yes it is mine can you fix my fingers yes you guys get it started and then I can help put them back together so when you work with a regular bread dough it's not going to happen like this because it's got gluten and gluten is glue this protein so it helps to hold everything together what is happening with yours did you put two marshmallows in there no okay so our oven is on 350 and it's hot I heard it beeped so look how I'm just I'm laying it down there and I'm kind of pinching it up as I go okay should I wash my hands nobody you should work on ceilings come up you're capable of doing it the less is better so look like I just started pinched and it's together and then now just leave it they don't mess with it a whole bunch last one these take about 30 minutes in there because what did the soldiers do they ordered it what did they put in front of a big rock they put a big rock in front and they stood there and guarded it because they thought that there's sneaky Jesus followers we're gonna come and steal his body because when they do they didn't just make that up okay let's watch your hands so now going away okay so we're gonna steal the stone for three days or thirty minutes okay so we're going to clean up and we'll show you the magic that happens everybody go case of thirty minutes of our Jesus in the tomb with a stone in front and what happened is he's not there writing so these just have come out so they're super hot but I want you to see if you have those little silicone like muffin cups those will be great for this because the marshmallow is gonna leak out of a lot of them and be very sticky and so it would make it easier like it leaked our that once I'll leave that went in there for a second that's just that cinnamony marshmallowy yummy goodness there's nothing you Kia about that it's actually delicious but I hope you can see watch this so they're baked we had that Jesus wrapped up in there and look he's not Vader the cloth is there the spices are there but he's not there he's risen okay so happy Easter everybody this is a great recipe this basic bread dough I'll have it posted on the website they'll be called resurrection biscuits but you can instead of putting a marshmallow inside you can just roll the the dough into little balls have you ever been to like a really good Italian restaurant and get garlic knots or oh yeah they're so good like you're breathing fire because there's so much garlic on them but this dough is perfect for that fresh garlic you can use powder to go with whatever it's really yummy yeah I would have you guys taste this but I know it's gonna burn your tongue but they work perfectly as resurrection biscuits so getting the kitchen to make this treat with your family or some neighbor kids and it's a yummy treat and it's a fun way
