CREAMY GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE (WHOLE30/PALEO) the BEST diary free sauce EVER!












creamy green bean casserole this time around we're changing up the recipe a little bit on that mushroom soup mix that we all know and love from you know back in the day it's paleo and whole xxx all the ingredients there he can pair it up with some more of those veggies that you've got around on Thanksgiving and that gorgeous turkey are you ready now for sake of convenience I'm using frozen green beans here got some red onion we got some baby Bella's that are pre sliced got a little homemade key over here low ground nutmeg for some scent on that little salt some collagen bone broth powder that's the secret sauce and raw cashews if you haven't subscribed yet hit that button so you're gonna start with boiling some water we're gonna soften those cashews so they blend better and get yourself a large bowl go ahead and drop the green beans in there with a little bit of warm water and defrost them finely dice the onion the mushrooms are already sliced but I go ahead and go across them a couple more times just so they're about the same size as the onions as Jamie Oliver would say a couple knobs Aggie it's about a quarter cup and then go ahead and add your veggies in I'm gonna saute them until glassy about five minutes drain the beans and then go ahead and add your sauteed vegetables you mix everything up really good set it aside now it's time for your cashew sauce you know what this recipe I've used a couple times a couple different Thanksgivings and you know what my family doesn't even notice the difference the cashew cream sauce the kicker is own broth these bone broth powder little splash and that Megan some salt and I blend it all up and that creamy consistency cooks beautifully has that deep rich salty Amami flavor I'm just going to take a little time here to focus on the consistency so it's very much like that condensed soup it's just a little thinner okay now everybody in the pool we're gonna combine everything all together in our large bowl now we like our casserole pretty saucy so if you'd like to add some more green beans add some more green beans or if you'd like to add some more mushrooms or onions go for it now everything's ready for a greased 2-quart baking dish go ahead and smooth it all out I just top it off with a little pepper before it goes in the oven here she is all hot and bubbly right out of the oven in the kitchen smells you can smell a little bit of that nutmeg those mushrooms and a little bit of the pepper and it's fragrant and it is ready to eat today you might be like wait a minute where those crunchy onions at that I remember well in the spirit of whole 30 I own it at them but you know if you've got a hating farm you can always have them on the side well this is one of those days of the year this is one of the biggest American holidays everyone's got a choice everyone's got their own freedom move about the cabin as you wish I choose to bring a couple dishes that I know what the ingredients are and then you know what I fill my plate with that stuff and then I pick and choose what I'm gonna go in for afterwards and you know that's to each his own and you know what I've got a link for you down below in the show notes for my cranberry sauce and cranberry sauce is just cranberries pomegranate juice and orange oh and those dates in it too a little bit of dates all together yes there's a little bit of a sweet profile it's a little cranberry forward okay there is sweetness there as you reduce it down you just get those orange sugars and that pomegranate sugar and it's really amazing you can always add a little bit more dates or if you want to add a little bit of honey or something have at it I've got a news letter just head on over to dawn those two calm and they'll be a little pop up put in your email I don't share it with anybody give you some highlights of what's going on I like to get a little bit more personal get to know you a little bit better email to me is very sacred I know I don't share my email with too many people when you give me your email address that opens up a little bit of conversation you know what kind of recipes are looking for how I can help you give me some ideas for some future recipes that you want to see thank you so much for joining me today I know your time is valuable and I appreciate you I'll see you next time .
