Trader Joes Dinner Haul : Healthy Paleo Dinner Ideas












hey guys it's Caitlin from the bejewelled like I recently made an Aldi haul video so I wanted to make a Trader Joe's haul video obviously when you make a grocery haul video there's like you could buy the whole store but I really wanted to focus this one towards easy meals for families a lot of its organic I think there's eight meals here and it's actually pretty much all paleo or grain free and then I'm going to show you just a few extra things I got and if you want to know some of my favorite snacks from Trader Joe's I've made a separate video for them this is seasonal but right now Trader Joe's it's November they have this bone in half turkey breast garlic herb butter even though it's not organic there's nothing weird in it my kids love it and my husband loves it I paired it with this rice cauliflower stuffing this has carrots cranberries leaves onion and celery so I picked up the organic romaine and then Isreal chili lime chicken so I bought two of these they're like five dollars each and then I'm just gonna pair it with parmesan and a vegan Caesar dressing that's actually really healthy I just poured the bag of organic romaine did parmesan and then my vegan dinner and then I just sliced up this road chili lime chicken and I didn't do all I just heated it up from the foot over the top next is literally one of my favorite items from Trader Joe's organic chicken mousse you can fry these in like a light olive oil Trader Joe's has or you can put them in oil and salt and pepper and put them in the oven and roast them they're so so good and my husband always bakes me for them and for me for dinner I would prepare it with just this butternut squash soup so if you go to as many grocery stores as I do you know that then you know wild Cod is really difficult especially when you can buy frozen that's only eight dollars that's crazy good deal organic green beans I love these I just rinsed them and then I blanched them for like a minute in boiling water take them out and then just add olive oil and garlic and salt and pepper and then I'll probably add kado just to the plate so my kids get some good back obviously the sockeye wild Alaskan salmon is great from Trader Joe's I always buy it frozen I don't even know if you can find it wild not frozen I would make this in butter just in my cast-iron pan with lemon and then serve it with peas also made in butter and then if you want to do like this broccoli slaw on the side you can do it with lemon and the oil and sunflower seeds I love the choice filet mignon from Trader Joe's so I got these two fillets and I actually just try I'm gonna try they're black truffle butter which is new and then I'm gonna do rosemary roasted potatoes in the oven and then I'll make asparagus on the stove probably and I might roast some of this honey squash I posted this on my Instagram stories at the vigil I support this barbecue chicken teriyaki in the frozen section is one of my favorites but I don't make it with the sauce ever I mean maybe if you want to use a little bit of it but it's so flavorful you don't need it so I always buy two bags and I would just stir fry some broccoli in a pan broccoli florets and then I love this pre-bagged shredded red cabbage so I would mix that in with my broccoli after it cooks pretty a little bit Trader Joe's has obviously organic soy sauce but even better is they have organic coconut aminos I'll link that below too so you can see what it looks like I love this chicken sausage it also has really clean ingredients i dice it up into tiny little pieces and I put it in like a skillet with olive oil and then I plug my favorite marinara over it and then I would serve it over these butternut squash little noodles or if you're not great for you my kids love these red lentil noodles so forgot I just got these random I got watercress to make like a little watercress salad watercress is so healthy and then I also this massive bag of brussel sprouts which Brussels sprouts roasted is probably my favorite food I think this was $3 or 399 at Trader Joe's today I did pick up a few extra things I just have to show you but this was 20 roses for $9.99 holy smokes two dozen organic eggs I got this for my wonderful husband that loves ice cream mint chip and vanilla humble these were a dollar ninety-nine H I've been using these in all of my smoothies making matcha tea smoothies I am obsessed with the coconut chunks I can eat them plain too I got some blueberries I got this for my kids organic plain whole milk yogurt it has the cream on top it's grass-fed some Greek yogurt I got there unfiltered organic apple juice organic half-and-half put in free waffles we can got myself the organic in coconut water brainless granola rolled oats if you watched our overnight oats video we have to have rolled oats this is like a fun little salami snack I got for my kids I got this sprouted rye from my husband and I'm like super picky about bread so I'm gonna try Healthy Shepherd’s Pie Recipe (low-carb, paleo, whole30)












hey everybody it's Adriana from living happy with chocolate today we're going to be making one of my favorite dinner recipes which is for a crazy delicious and healthy shepherd's pie if you're not familiar with shepherd's pie it's basically a baked casserole with a layer meat and vegetables and then topped with mashed potatoes but today we're going to be using a different ingredient in place of the potatoes one that is much healthier and lower in carbs and it gives us some taste and texture to the pie so to start let's prepare the meat and the vegetables we're going to first get all of the ingredients ready so shred one zucchini and one carrot and I'm using the larger teeth on my grater next chop an onion and garlic over medium heat add your favorite cooking oil to a large skillet I'm using olive oil and saute the onions and garlic until tender then add the carrots and zucchini and saute the vegetables until they begin to soften at the ground beef and let it cook until it's no longer pink and browns then also add some salt and chilli powder to season it we're gonna set this aside and make the top layer and like I said we are not using potatoes instead we're going to use cauliflower and you have to try this too believe me cauliflower can be mashed and cooked the same way as potatoes and it's intriguing how mashed cauliflower has almost the identical taste and texture as mashed potatoes cauliflower is also very nutritious and particularly rich in vitamin B C k as well as manganese phosphorus and potassium it's also known for its anti-cancer properties and because it's a sulfur rich vegetable it helps in the production of hormones which keeps our muscles and digestive cardiovascular and nervous system in good working condition I love garlic so I'm gonna add roasted garlic to my mashed cauliflower and she roasted all I do is drizzle a little olive oil on top and then I bake in the oven for about 30 minutes at 400 degrees while the garlic is roasting let's steam the cauliflower here I'm using a pressure cooker because it takes just a minute to soften the cauliflower but you can use your preferred method of steaming vegetables once the cauliflower and garlic are cooked add the bok choy blender to make a smooth puree also season it with a little salt and if your blender has a tamper use it to help blend the ingredients and for our final step we're gonna assemble our pie so spread the ground beef evenly on the bottom of the dish then top it with the mashed cauliflower also this is totally optional but if you want you can brush an egg over the top so you'll fight Browns during baking baking they preheated oven to 350 degrees for about 25 minutes and if you like you can sprinkle a little cheese on top like I'm doing here and then Briley for just a couple more minutes I wrote this recipe in detail for you on my website with all the measurements and the instructions you need to make it so when you're ready make sure to check that out first I think you guys are gonna love this recipe it tastes amazing and you might just become a new favor in your home like it is in mine I hope you enjoyed this video and if you did please give it a thumbs up and let me know in the comments down below if you would like me to share more than the recipes thank you so much for watching and I will see you next week bye .
