when you think about it, both Mediterranean & paleo diet emphasise similar portions that plants & whole foods be the main portion of your diet, & theres many plant based protein sources. end of day.....whole plant foods always win....no dr will say "he died from overeating veggies"...right...?

+Katie Pecotich actually the Mediterranean is mainly based on plant-based foods.
fruit, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts. less fish and dairy/eggs and even less meat.

Not lean meat. High fatty meat from grass fed and organic animals

I disagree with the bit about salt. You mean to tell me with salt all over the world in seas, mountains and caves, people from the past didnt spice up their foods with salt??

For our ancestors, Paleo diet also meant feast and famine, at times not eating a day or two which kept the body in ketosis, burning body fat since there was no sugar or glycogen in the body. That’s why they were so lean and healthy since the body was in self repair Autophagy during fasting days. Combine Ketogenic and Paleo diets and you have the best of both world for good health and body fat control.

This is glorious, I've been looking for "eat paleo recipes" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Kiyaria Yanenry Rule - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my co-worker got great results with it.

Check out INTERSALT study, they examined 10k people from all over the world, including Brazilian Yanomamo Indians who eat 0.1g of salt a day (meaning none). Even in advanced age they survive just fine and have the arterial health of a modern teenager. We're overdoing salt, it's as simple as that, and we should be using more spices whenever possible.

Dude. Expand your horizons more. I am from Asia, in the past, my culture which is tribal did not eat the grain salt. This also lead to disease of salt deficiency which I forgot the name where you get swelling particularly along the jaw area. They lived in a tropical forest and sodium rich food was not natural to the area.

They then obtained sodium from seafood. In the past, the grain salt wasn't something that existed in my culture.

@Ilian Andreev If I am not mistaken, once they passed 20, they almost always lived up to around 50+ years, like today's society. Medicine wasn't as advanced in the past.

But paleolithic people statistically ate more meat than veggies. Eating more veggies was because of agriculture. Also you should not eat tomatoes, since they were invented with agriculture. You also would need to hunt inatead of going to grocery store. No pig, cow, milk, goat, sheep, and ect. Plus different regions would have a set diet. In michigan for instance you would be eating alot of wild berries, deer, rabbit, fish, and ect.
