Is this dough will work for dumplings? Thanks!
Reply DeleteWould psyllium husk help keep it from breaking up?
Reply DeleteBlaine Fiasco yes but the whole thing is 200grams of carbs so it’s not worth it I’ll just continue to buy the shiitake noodles 4g carbs and one bag is the serving size
Reply DeleteNatural83 ew, that’s a lot of carbs!
Reply DeleteHow is this recipe keto?
Not suitable for diabetics or on ketogenic diet.
Reply DeleteMaybe coconut flour. DEFINITELY NOT tapioca flour.
Reply DeleteWe like the tapioca flour because it's a lot more starchy than other flours. But feel free to give coconut flour a try and just remember to adjust the ratio since coconut flour is a lot more absorbent! :)
Reply DeleteWhat if I don't have a topiaca four?
Reply DeleteArrowroot flour/starch is another great option!
Reply Deletenever claimed to be.
Reply DeleteIt's may keep it from breaking up, but could end up with a gummy texture. Or maybe dissolve in the water. Psyllium is great for baking but not great for boiling.
Reply DeleteUrge caution as it can lump up. The thing is psyllium husk must (MUST) be very well hydrated before consumption.
Reply DeleteWTF? This is neither Paleo nor Keto, WAAAY too many carbs, eating a dish of this, all that tapioca, will kick you out of ketosis.
Reply DeleteOMG so thankful for this PALEO pasta option, thank you thank you! Great for a day you just crave that old pasta bowl
Reply Deleteexactly! so glad you like it :)
Reply DeleteTwo cups of tapioca flour? Why not just eat seven loaves of white bread?
Reply Delete1/4 cup!
Reply DeleteMan not only is that dough too dry, but it's also too damn thick... Who you trying to fool here?
Reply Deletecan you substitute with cassava flour?
Reply Deletewe recommend tapioca flour for its starch like qualities
Reply DeletePaleoHacks can you just go with more almond flour
Reply Delete@gatorred789 Paleo means low carb, though not to the level of keto. This is just as carby as regular pasta.
Reply DeleteThank you for the recipe, it's definitely helpful for people who can't eat wheat!
Reply DeleteHave you tried freezing them?
Reply Deletewe have not, but I bet it would work out pretty well! let us know if you try it :)
Reply DeleteWhen i see how the pasta are thick i want to vomit.
Reply DeleteI believe cassava is the same with tapioca flour
Reply DeleteCan you use cashew flour?
Reply Deleteyes :)
Reply Delete@Robert Sandstorm Nah I dont think its gonna work cuz almond flour is oily but not sticky so without the starchiness it wont become a dough but just a mess of...whatever.
Reply DeletePaleoHacks can I substitute tapioca flour for arrowroot?
Reply DeleteLooks like a great recipe although the pasta looks far too thick.
Reply DeleteThis guy stryna make us gain 20 pounds
Reply Delete@Angelia Smith yes, it works with Arrowroot starch
Reply Delete@Daily Dues Lol
Reply DeleteFor my keto homies, baking powder and an egg yolk works instead of the tapioca flour :) .
Reply DeleteHi, what is the measurement for the baking powder?
Reply DeleteBecause tapioca is paleo and 2 cups has a quite a bit less carbs than even one load of bread, plus this recipe looks to be about 3 portions...
