the Paleo diet is basically a modern-day version of a hunting-and-gathering type eating plan it's primarily vegetables and fruits grass-fed meat fish nuts and seeds and some healthy oil on there it does not include dairy or a lot of grains or your processed foods the benefits of a Paleo diet is that it's really cleaning out your eating plan people love that that's great for our bodies it gives you more energy it takes away that sluggish kind of tired feeling that you often have and it also helps you lose weight however you do have to look at the whole plan sometimes with the Paleo diet you're actually missing some vitamins and minerals it is lacking in calcium and vitamin D and you have to kind of look at the whole plan are you really eating grass-fed organic healthy meat and lots of that Shoals and fruits and fish or you kind of playing with it and then making it your own plan well one of the focuses in the Paleo diet really is meat and in the whole scheme of life you shouldn't be doing too much red meat so that's one of the drawbacks I think that it's put in this diet because it's very satisfying particularly bacon they use a lot of bacon it's very satisfying it has fat so it gives you that satiety and it makes people feel good I don't think that that's a very good positive benefit to the diet I think they should be focusing kind of on the whole grass-fed meat that's great and fit getting more of your fish and more of your organic eggs and then getting the vegetables and fruits in most of their recipes too another thing the Paleo diet is actually that the fat that they that you are allowed to consume is not very good for your heart so from a cardiovascular standpoint we do have to be careful there it's definitely one of those plans that if you want to follow it you need to check with your doctor because it can change your labs you might lose a little bit of weight but all of a sudden your cholesterol might go up so one of the things that I would encourage if you are going to take some of the benefits that Paleo diet would be to incorporate more of your healthy fats your olive oil your avocado some of your nut oils the bottom line is the Paleo diet is I think it can help you if you tweak it it's fine to do hunting-and-gathering kind of from the ancient times bring that back that's great but also use some of our modern medicine and research knowing that healthy fats are going to be the way to go along with your plan .

I lost a ton of weight on bacon fat and beef. Keto and Paleo are good, but you’d get more antioxidants from Paleo.
Reply DeleteRed meat claim is unfounded
Reply DeleteIf you have to add vitamins with pills ur diet is a fail
Reply DeleteLike veganism for example...
Reply DeleteI am paleo. It is not lacking in calcium and vitamin d. ЁЯджЁЯП╗♀️ Red meat is very healthy for you. Paleo doesn't include bacon. ЁЯджЁЯП╗♀️ All the fat is very healthy. My cholesterol has never been better. This woman has no idea what she is talking about.
Reply DeleteI'm thinking of trying this
Reply DeleteYou don't need to add pills to paleo..
Reply DeleteFat is good. Insulin resistance is bad.
Reply Delete@rene diaz B12. Also, organ meats are 11x more nutritionally dense than cooked vegetables.
Reply DeleteI knew there would be a tinfoil snowflake carnivore dieter comment...
Reply DeleteSo how does fat coating the cells and causing insulin resistance relate to this comment? You ignorant prick
Reply DeleteCal B not a carnivore, actually a nutritional science graduate , go ahead show me your data I’m waiting and I expect to see a META ANALYSIS not a epidemiology study or a random study, I’ll be waiting, ЁЯдФ
Reply DeleteHow many calories recommend for weight loss in paleo diet? % fat, protein, fiber recommended?
Reply Delete1:08 You shouldn't really be eating too much red meat...
Reply DeleteWere done here.
It's not entirely unfounded, there are studies showing a correlation between eating red meats and colon cancer, but not causation. So it's wildly exaggerated
Reply DeleteMoussa the GOAT i think i know the one you are talking about, but those studies are not talking about a meat heavy diet, they were the standard American diet which includes meat so the variables are way too many.
Reply DeleteThey lived for many years eating this way and was just fine. Your body adapts just make sure you eat plenty of greens and your golden.

Reply DeleteJohn Snow eh no. I highly doubt “millions”. Don’t exaggerate when you’re trying to get a point through. Back onto topic though. It’s not the red meat that causes health problem. It’s the stuff we eat along with it. Process sugar, fast food, junk food, canned food. Those stuff causes health problems. If we were all to eat a balance diet, drink water as our main thirst quencher, and cut out process sugar.....the majority us would be healthy.
Reply Deletetrue.. honestly its so confusing figuring out how to eat in order to be as healthy as possible. But yea, if you have to get some vitamins through pills, the diet is definitely lacking important parts
Reply Deletebla bla bla bla dont eat red meat eat plants
Reply DeleteHi, what school did you get your dietary degree from and what state are you licensed in?
Reply Delete@John Wright I got my degree from Hogwarts university with PHD in the science of cat diarrhea. I'm licensed in the United states of Tijuana.
Reply DeleteOMG! Can't believe I heard that.........
Reply Delete@Cal B That is like saying fat is automatically bad for helping your muscle cells stay in tact. I don't look into vegan propaganda science but i'm willing to bet if muscle cells didn't have fat protecting them they would be damaged or perhaps destroyed. Also animal fats especially grass fed don't create cell or DNA damage they actually do the opposite, i'm willing to bet vegan processed vegetable / seed oils do damage cells and the DNA though.
Reply DeleteAlso even if a 95% carb diet could somehow reverse diabetes, it would take months for your body to get the "fat in the muscles" out of the muscles. So if you have insulin resistance or diabetes it would basically be a long long time of damage and symptoms until it MIGHT fix itself. Which is doubtful as excess carbs actually have a net negative effect and lower carbs are a net positive. For me if I have 300g of carbs per day, rice, potatoes bread whatever else I would get tired and crash, but if I had a simple blueberry strawberry smoothie which is like 30g carb plus some nuts and hemp in it which would buffer the blood sugar spike, my energy would be more sustained.
Wrong bacon is paleo
Reply DeleteChicken is better
Reply Delete@Oscar Claudio 28 amen
Reply Delete''missing some vitamin D'' well you can go outside or if there is no sun you can easily take vitamin D supplements
Reply Delete@JustKhali Do you think something close to the "Mediterranean" diet is a good starting point? I see there have been a lot of studies on this particular diet.
Reply DeleteIt's so frustrating how behind times registered dieticians and even doctors sometimes can be.
Reply DeleteThat whole 'red meat is bad for you' rubbish has been sufficiently debunked for well over half a decade now!
when i saw the meat i pause the vid, im off to the kitchen

Reply Deletei hate red meat, the only red meat is literally ground beef max. once a month/two months.
Reply Delete@L9 Turbo Boost No... Eating carbs and sugar makes you fat. Fat in food sustains life.
Reply Deletewomen don't understand irony.
Reply DeleteHow’s your cholesterol going to go up when 95 percent of us are eating these foods anyway we’re just eating a lot more junk food along with this
Reply DeleteYou should slow slow down with meat as you get older, young people metabolism can withstand it.
Reply DeleteLol you're a beast
Reply DeleteWhy no milk??! They had cows...
Reply Delete@Rupina Rammeloo
Reply DeleteNot because of their diet, because of them being killed by anything around.
You don't get it. You have to exercise.
Reply DeleteProtein needs increase with age and bunny food alternatives aren’t bio-available.
Reply Delete@icallit howiseeit Depends.
Reply Delete@Robotic Celtic nonsugar bacon before the additives
Reply Delete@Rupina Rammeloo infant mortality rate is a big reason why it is so low
Reply Delete@icallit howiseeit that citric acid bacon is crap
Reply DeleteFat is Fat is what they say But its sugar and carbs that makes you fat
Reply DeleteGoldens ???? Newbie asking
Reply Delete@Rupina Rammeloo stupid kid
Reply Delete@L9 Turbo Boost it's not so much irony but sarcasm and in all fairness it didn't come off that way it really sounded like you meant it.
